A birder for twelve years, at 17, I have accumulated a life list of 429 species. I joined the Ohio Young Birders Club in 2010 and have participated on several field trips. I am a regular contributor to the Ohio Birds listserv, eBird and active with the Blackbrook Audubon Society. I have been asked to lead several walks for Blackbrook Audubon at Lake Metroparks’ Beaty Landing in Painesville, Ohio. I hope you enjoy my site as I am the creator of www.jrbirder.com which includes photographs, articles and links on birding for birders.
My favorite place to bird is anywhere a LB can be spotted! Some of my favorite spots for birds locally include Ashtabula, Geauga, and Lake counties. Out of state, I have enjoyed birding in New York, Florida, Arizona, California, Utah, Connecticut, South Dakota, and Pennsylvania.
Aside from birding, I also enjoy playing basketball, reading, traveling, biking and running.
